Older machines or machine which are not equipped with a 'host processor interface' can be integrated in the ALS system as 'manual machines'. As a further option it is also possible to connect a machine electrically to the ALS system via a 'machine terminal'. These terminals take over the part counter and the cycle time from the machine.
In the 'Machine hall' these machines have the function 'Change status' in their context menu. Here you access the 'Change status' dialog. The following data are administrated here:
Operating mode
Order designation
Program designation
Nominal quantity
Actual quantity
Bad parts
Nominal and actual cavities
Nominal and actual cycle time
Error cause input
Second level:
Order designation
Program designation
Nominal quantity
Nominal cavities
Nominal cycle time
Order data are transferred from the 'second level'. By clicking on the button 'Level change'
the data are taken over from the second to the first level. After changing levels, the change must first be acknowledged. To do this, quit the dialog with OK. Only then is it possible to change the actual values. This procedure prevents the counter
for a new order from starting with a number greater than 0.
If you ascertain that bad parts were first produced at the start of production, activate the 'Reset' 'Check box' and quit the dialog with 'OK'. The actual value counter will then be reset to 0.
