With automatic selection of a production program to be transferred to the machine, the ALS proceeds according to the following criteria:

Input the required program designation in the respective screen panel on the machine and activate the request to the ALS. If the requested program exists as a 'Production program' in the ALS it will be transferred from the ALS to the machine. The transmission is carried out on the programming level from which the request was initiated. |

In the ALS machine configuration you can define that programmes are only permitted to be transmitted back to a machine from which they came. This may then result in a program having the required designation and the required 'Production' status and being available for the machine type but not for the requesting machine. If, in this case, you still want to use the available program, it must be copied in the program administration, the new machine defined as the target machine and the copied program given the status of 'Production'. |

Check whether the 'Editing enable' is set to 'No' in 'Machine' > 'Status' of the target machine in the ''Machine Hall". Open the 'Program Administration' , select the required program and right click into the list. A pop-up menu appears in which you activate the function 'Download to machine'. |
The first machine suggested as a target machine will be the one from which the program originates. If you have not specified in the machine configuration that programs can only be transferred to a machine from which they originated, you can also select a different machine.

On machines of the type ARBURG ALLROUNDER 170 CMD, ARBURG ALLROUNDER 305 ECO and ARBURG ALLROUNDER M the program transmission can only be carried out in 'manual' mode, because these machines have no preparation levels. |

With the above mentioned machines and with the ARBURG ALLROUNDERs with DIALOGICA controller the 'editing enable' must be set to 'no editing' in order for the machine to accept a program. |

With version 2.070 and later of the ARBURG SELOGICA the machine is only inhibited for program transfer when the operator is editing in the preparation level. |
