The ALS system automatically protocols a number of events during production. The chronology of their appearance can be seen in the production 'progression'. Some events require explanatory remarks in order to be able to interpret them correctly. For example it could be the case that the machines of a production line are all on alarm because the cooling apparatus which supplies them has failed. To add remarks to events, the ALS offers you a list of all events in which you can:
add new remarks,
change existing remarks,
erase existing remarks,
erase events
define new user events.
'User events' are events which are not automatically recorded but which have an influence on the production. Such events can be e.g. changing a material charge or opening the hall doors.
The event list can be pre-sorted according to 'machine selection', 'date range', 'event type' and ' events with remarks' . The 'Machine selection' consists of the machines you have selected in the machine hall. 'Machine-unrelated' events are only displayed when no machine has been selected. When saving the display of the event list, the selected event types are maintained.
The events are sub-divided into the categories 'User-defined' and 'Machine-defined'
.
In the 'Machine' column the name of the machine is displayed, on which the event occurred. The types of events are subdivided into

Events containing explanatory remarks are distinguished by entries in the following four columns :

Event text | from the master data |
Remarks | on the event |
User | who entered the remarks |
The following machine data are displayed for each event

Events containing explanatory remarks remain in the event list until they are erased. All other events are automatically moved to the
condensed evaluations (displayed in the reports) after three months as standard.
A user event is defined either as a machine-unrelated event or related to one or several machines, depending on the selection made in the field 'Machine selection' .
Select the required event from the list of events previously defined in the master data and add your remarks.
When you add remarks to a machine-related event you can adapt the machine data currently in the display to the level when the event occurred.
For machine events the events listed in the master data are displayed for selection. Adding remarks gives you the possibility of making more detailed information.
User events can be edited here.
The comments on a machine event are erased.
The remarks of user events cannot be erased separately (only together with event).
The event including the remarks is erased. For evaluation purposes however the contents of the event are first transferred to the shift!
The displayed table is exported in a Microsoft Excel™ folder. Here the data are made available for further processing.
The displayed list of events is printed out.
The display of the list and the types of events listed in the selection dialog are saved.
