Terminal

The ALS multi-function terminals are used to record data on 'manual work places' and machines, which are linked to the ALS through contacts (ARBURG I/O) or software (MANUAL INPUT).

'Add new/edit terminal' dialog'

When you add a new terminal, you allocate a unique Terminal number in the range of 1 to 999 to the terminal. This number identifies the terminal in ALS. In the 'Description' box you enter a few key words describing which work places are connected through the terminal or where each terminal is located.

For each terminal the Document administration is available, so that you can store all necessary documents in ALS.

You can choose between these different Terminal types:

  1. Multifunctional terminal
  2. MFT - mould preperation
  3. ALS mobile - production (hand-held)
  4. ALS mobiel - production (smart phone)
  5. ALS mobile - Monitoring
  6. Information terminal
  7. ALS mobile reporting
  8. ALS mobile maintenance
  9. Machine terminal

On the 'General' page you select a location where the new terminal is to be installed. Locations are configured in the master data under 'Infra structure' -> 'Location'.
In the 'Log-on' box you will find the selections for the 'Log-on type'

  1. No log-on

  2. Log-on per action

  3. Log-on per session

and the 'Log-on data' to be used

  1. Personnel number

  2. ALS user name

  3. ALS user name and password

If you have selected 'no log-on' the data are recorded without any reference to an employee. With the other options all necessary data relating to the employees must be entered in 'Mater data' -> 'User'.

On the 'Configuration' page there is the 'Configuration-ID' box which must be assigned with the value '1' and 'Resources Assignment'. In the Resources Assignment the 'available resources' are displayed. From these you can select which ones are to be used for the terminal.

There are five info boxes available in which you can store additional data on the terminal.
