The 'Material' list offers assistance with the administration of your data. You can store information on each material here.
Die 'Material' list can be pre-sorted according to 'Material' designations.
To add new material, only the 'Material' designation need be specified, all other fields are optional.
The 'Material' designation must be unique. The dialog offers you the possibility of inputting information on the manufacturer, trade name, batch, place of storage and remarks on the production.
'Colour for planning optimisation' is a useful aid for optimising the sequence in which orders are processed, with a view to minimising material changes. Here you assign a colour to a material. The time bars of the orders using this material
are then colour-coded with the colour assigned to this material. You can select a pre-defined colour from a list, or if you require a different colour, you can mix a new colour by calling up a dialog with the 
button.
Here you can change all information on a material.
The dialog for changing the charge designation is displayed. After changing a charge, an entry is made in the material history.
If the 'batch administration' function is active, an entry is made in the order journal every time a material batch is used for orders which are not entered as finished. The old and the new batch designation is noted.
The material data are displayed.
This function erases the data on a material from the database of the ALS.
The history of the selected material is displayed.
You can store various kinds of Documents for each material.
