The ALS module 'Machine hall' can display your machine park distributed over several “halls”. This capability is used to divide the machine display according to the organisational circumstances.
The machine group is a further organisational unit, whereby one machine can be assigned to several machine groups. For example a machine can be assigned to a group of machines of one machine size as well as to a group which represents a certain production line. Groups are displayed in the selection tree of the machine hall where they can be called up.
To define a hall the following information is required:
Name of the hall - this will be displayed.
Description - additional details.
Order of appearance – in the selection tree of the 'machine hall’ module.
Hall picture - name of file, which contains a background graphic of the machine hall. The file belongs in the directory 'DATA\PICTURE'. Use the 'JPEG interchange' or the 'SVG' format.
All parameters of the machine hall can be changed.
A machine hall can only be deleted when no machines are assigned to it.
To define a group, it is sufficient to state a 'name' and a 'description'. In addition, you can also assign the group with a 'type'.

The group type 'machines with same characteristics' has an effect on the selection of 'QS inspection plans' and the automatic selection of 'Production programs' for transfer to a machine.

A group can only be deleted when no machines are assigned to it.
To define a location you state a 'Name' and a 'description'. A location is a place for a resources, like a shelve for moulds.
